Taking on clients for an Accountancy Practice
Permalink Closed

Hi,

I've just set up a bookkeeping & payroll business in the last couple of weeks and am meeting an Accountancy Practice next week with a view to taking some bookkeeping clients.  Is there anybody that also takes clients for a Practice, do you charge the same rate as if they were a private client and what sort of questions would you recommend to ask?

Any help would be most appreciated!

Jo

Hello Jo,

I've built up some good relationships with local accountancy practices. They know I stick to book-keeping, and I always refer any clients who require the prepartion of tax returns and year end accounts to them. I've benefited from this because I've found they pass on book-keeping leads to me to return the favour.

I've not had an accountant give me book-keeping work direct (other than leads and recommend me to their clients), but if they did I would stick to standard hourly charge out rate.
