I've been watching things develop with you guys over the last 2 months and I am happy to see the close relationship developing on here between you.
I am currently in the runb-up to my ICB exams, and I have been quite fortunate to revolve it around my work during the day which is in a similar field.
I think we should keep this little group small and close-knit, sharing a few ideas and progress.
Currently, I'm finding it difficult to get hold of ICB past-papers - I've got one (the Cottage business one) but that's all there seems to be around. Anyone know of another source?
If you are planning to sit the exam on Feb 08 and you do want trying to get the past examination papers, i can tell you that you can buy the past year paper with the ICB. Go to www. book-keepers.org.uk/shop, it will cost £5 per paper with the answer as well. I am sitting the exam in feb 08 and I bought the exam paper as well and i can say that it is good material for preparation for the exam.
I am a completely new to this forum and taking my exam in March. After scrolling through many sites I am struggling to get any past papers to work through. I wonder if anyone would have a copy of past papers I could use so that I get the right format? Thanks in advance
I don't have an Accounting backround and I failed my exam on Nov(Bookkeeping to trial balance) anyone who knows of the Study group around Jhb. I get confused especially with posting to the General Ledger.
Will shortly be starting my exams with the level 1 at home, I know this has to be completed within 2 weeks and that the exam itself is 2 hours long, but can someone tell me if I have to complete the exam in one sitting or can I leave it for an hour or so or whatever and then go back to it, I am only asking as I know it is an open book exam but if there is something that I would like to check on do I have time to do it or is it a case of once you start you have 2 hours straight off and thats it.
Also can someone please advise how many questions ?
I did level II mock the end of last year and no I couldn't stop the clock (had the police at the door and also on the phone twice, spent over an hour with them but there was nothing I could do!
