Hello, I'm interested to hear from people who use Bookcert especially from people in a similar position like myself who are currently studying for AAT Foundation or similar qualification. I'm interested to know whether it is still worth the investment. I would appreciate the web design & software but is that enough? I would also like to know the support you get to help you get your business recognised i.e marketing etc. Many thanks in advance, Paul
I used the Bookcert Kit when starting out and I found the Kit very comprehensive, especially the marketing strategies which are discussed in detail. If I had any questions I found the Bookcert Mentoring Team very helpful and knowledgeable on technical issues. I'd never worked as a book-keeper before and I liked the idea of having the support team to fall back on to ask for advice.
I found the software easy to use and suited the type of client I was aiming for which saved me shelling out on Sage or QB which I couldn't afford when I started.
Hi John I too am looking at Bookcert at present. I do some basic level bookkeeping at present eg entering sales/purchases invoices, bank recs credit control etc using Sage Line 50. Is this sufficient knowledge to get a business up and running?
I've studied AAT and doing ACCA. I want to start my own bookkeeping business. And although I'm qualified I still didn't feel confident enough to start out on my own. For this reason I bought the bookcert kit. It gives a lot of information I already knew, but also new more practical information on how to start out and actually doing the bookkeeping. It is a bit of a backbone to me. It gives me the confidence I need. Also the letters and other documents, bookcert software and all advice is really handy. You can also email them with lots of questions and they will email you back in a few hours.
I've got all the necessary knowledge but bookcert gives me the confidence and support.
I'm starting out mid july and will be able to test the information given in bookcert.
It is nice to know that you can go somewhere with questions and that there is someone that will answer them.
I still do think it is very important to get a qualification such as AAT.
Does the bookcert kit provide any advice on how to deal with the Money Laundering Regulations for those bookkeepers who are not members of a professional body and are therefore required to demonstrate that they are meeting these requirements through HMRC??
