I'm not a book-keeper but I thought someone on this forum might be able to help me? I prepare my own tax return and I'm just completing my 06/07 return which is due by the 31st.
In Feb 07 I went to a convention in California. Just want to know whether I can claim the costs of the flight and hotel back on my tax return as a business expense?
As long as the trip was incurred wholly and exclusively for your business, then yes you can claim it back on your tax return. However be prepared for the revenue to enquire into this and to try to show that it wasn't. Worth a punt though!
