im currently studying my level 1 icb in manual bookkeeping and im trying to decide whether to do level 2 manual or computerised next? Do you guys think one is a better choice than the other?
The ICB recommend you do the Level II manual course before you do the computerised Level II...but it is only a recommendation. I think most people's books are now kept on a computerised system but having good experience of both manual and computerised systems is advantageous. If you can only do accounts via a computer, you could possibly be reducing your options of getting potential clients; such as those using manual systems who may wish to transfer their books onto a software program.
When you pass the ICB level II and have your associate membership, you can apply for your practising certificate.
