I've been looking on this forum for a while now and have found it very useful and friendly for advice and info.
Although I do not work professionally in the field, I have been doing my husband's books for 3 years and have also done a fair bit of bookkeeping for other friends and family. I've got the manual IAB qualifications (up to Level 3 diploma), but no computerised qualifications as yet. I would like to set up a bookkeeping business and think I should be ok to go if I can get some small clients to start with. Bit worried about not having vast amounts of experience, but everyone's got to start somewhere - right?
I bought the bookcert kit a few months ago which has been really helpful. Just wondering if anybody else who has used it actually uses the bookcert pro cashbook for their clients?
We all have to start somewhere and it's good you're following a course. I use Sage 50 which I find suits me and my clients well. For the smaller clients though it can be a bit of overkill, so a simple cash book would be just as good.
I use the bookcert pro cashbook for smaller clients who do not have a high volume of work that needs processing. Its ideal for sole traders who do not need complex accounting analysis.
