Does ICB qualification give exemption from any ACCA exams?
Permalink Closed

Hi,

I am currently studying the ICB Levels 1 & 2 in Manual Bookkeeping but am hoping to start on ACCA once I have taken the exams in June.

Does anyone know if the ICB Level 1/2 will give me any exemptions from any of the ACCA papers?

Also, any general advice for ICB and/or ACCA routes would really help me. I'm kind of confused with all the different qualifications and pathways for careers. :)

A quick check using the ACCA exemption enquiry tool doesn't show any exemptions for ICB members. The link is:

https://portal.accaglobal.com/accaweb/faces/page/public/accreditations/enquiry/main/EnqInstitutionsTable.jspx

You might get some exemptions from the ACCA Certified Accounting Technician qualification though. Best to phone the ACCA to confirm.
