I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how they revised for this exam as I am due to take it on the 10th June. I have been rereading my course books and have ordered three past papers from the ICB that arrived this morning.
I have just passed my manual bookkeeping level 1 and 2 course with a distinction so I must know what I am doing. My only worry is trying to remember how to set out the Trading, Profit and Loss Accounts and the balance sheet. I am trying to memorise the setting out and the different categories in the right order but I worry that nerves will set in on the day and it will go out the window lol
For those who have already taken the exam, how long did it take for you to get your results back?
Also, does anyone know where I might take the exam, I live smack on the borderline between Chesterfield and Sheffield, I dont drive so I'm hoping that there is an exam centre nearby.
I understand you being nervous, I was. I did not do a course, went on a revision seminar provided by ICB, briefly looked through some past papers and did not have time to do anything else as I foolishly put in for February 2008 exam when it was my busiest time of year as was self employed bookkeeper.
I was really nervous in the exam and just forgot everything I knew. I was 100% convinced that I had failed, and the wait for the results was a nightmare (approx 1 month), but luckily I passed the exam.
With the exam centre this gets sorted out once people have booked for the exams and they know numbers (I had a fair distance to travel and don't drive from Baildon to Dewsbury college).
