Hi . I am trying to set my bookkeeping and payroll business up and it is not going too well as i don't seem to be able to get any clients and have been trying for three months .My local business advisor suggested looking at BNI to see if there were any meetings that were local to me.There is a meeting near me but not sure about it.I have looked on the website but it doesn't give a great deal of info.Has anyone used BNI and if so was it any good
thanks

Hi Steve,

Have a look further down the forum list of threads, you will see one named `Networking !`, this should answer some of your questions.

I decided against it, as I cannot really justify the joining fee and ongoing costs of `breakfasts`, plus since I posted my query, I have had another invitation from an accounting firm to `pop along to the next meeting` ! I have found out that you are required to attend regularly and also introduce other prospective members. In all, its not really what I want.

Hope the thread helps.

Julie
