Hello there was just hoping for some advice please.Im currently doing a bookkeeping course with home learning college but unsure where to go when I finish?Iv done the level 1 exam and now coming up to do the level 2.Would people recommend I try and get a job with a company and get some experience as I dont think Id be ready to start up on my own?I was thinking of doing the SAGE computerised bookkeeping course after as Iv seen alot of jobs advertised doing this?would this be a good idea or will I be wasting my time?.I am currently working in a job unrelated to the field but really wanna career in bookkeeping or eventually accounting?I am prepared to take a wage drop if it means I get a start somewhere.Thank you for any help.

Hi Ethan,

I think Sage is very useful, a lot of businesses do use it, plus it is very user friendly especially when learning bookkeeping. Experience does help, maybe you could look for accounts assistant roles to start off. I have recently done the Sage Instants Accounts Certification course, which I found useful even though I use it every day!
