Self Assessments - How to qualify to complete these for companies
Permalink Closed

Hi all

The ICB have told me that they can no longer supply the information needed to get the Diploma in Self Assessment, so I was wondering if anyone knew 1) How to get the information / qualification 2) If you need the qualification in order to complete them 3) Are there any pre-requisites.

I have only just passed level 2 manual and have never worked in the field, so appologies if these are basic questions.  I am just trying to work out what levels to do next, and in what order.

Any help gratefully received.

Andy

Hi Andy

I apologise for not being able to help you but this post is interesting because it explains why the ICB have not responded to my emails requesting further information regarding the Diploma in Self Assessment.

Regards
Mark

Hi Andy,

The ICB recently advised me to contact HMRC for info on self assessment as they were unable to supply the guide themselves; although I believe the exam is still available through them.

On HMRC website you will find a full list of forms & notes covering all areas of self assessment that you can download.

I hope this helps.

Regards
Rachel.

PS. Hi to everyone on here; although this is my first post I have been getting alot of help and great advice in the last couple of months.......thank you.

Thanks Rachel

There is a LOT of info on their website.   I think they have learning outcomes for that course on the ICB website, so that may help focus the search.

I am new to this too, but it seems that everyone is very helpful

Hi Andy

I recently managed to acquire an hard copy of the "Self Assessment Tax Returns Guide" from the ICB but they did say they were in limited supply. It's quite an hefty publication from HMRC but is basically a collection of the individual guides all in one place. (I found it to be the "Bible" when I did my assignment.)

Inside the front cover it says copies are available for Advisers and to contact them on 0845 9000 404 but they also say, quote your Agent Reference Number. You may be able to "Beg" one?

Hope this helps

By the way, got my results yesterday and was successful (The only results are a distinction or fail, theres no in between)

Regards
