I've been asked to audit the accounts of a local kids football team. I used to be a community worker and audited accounts for loads of community groups. I seem to remeber that for not for profit small community groups you don't need to be a qualified auditor.
Does anyone know if major funders are ok with this now?

I audit the accounts for my local community center, a not-for-profit organisation. As long as you state that you are a "lay auditor" there is no problem.
