After much research into bookkeeping packages, and after some good advice from member of this site, I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the Sage Instant Accounts Self Study Course. I wanted to get a good idea how a computer system worked so I could use this knowledge later on when I start bookkeeping work for customers. I began this last week and am now on book 4 of 6.
I received a phone call today from Sage asking if I would like to purchase any software and I advised that I was studying the above course. My intention is to eventually, when I get some customers lined up, purchase Sage Client Manager 2009.
I was advised that it was not worth my while taking the Sage Instant Accounts Self Study Course but I could not understand why. Surely it is in my interest to take this so I know how Sage works?
Has anyone else used Sage Client Manager and is it a completely different system to Sage IA?
There are different features between instant and 50, however the principles you learn from the instant course will be relevant to the full version. IMO it's a very similar system, with the only differences really to do with budgeting, stock and departmental analysis.
