Hiya
i`m at the very last bit of my exam and can't seem to get this one question right.
Its to do with wages and salaries: i am to enter these transactions via nominal journal: gross pay, tax deductions, national insurance employee deductions, union subscription deductions, hospital saturday fund deductions, net pay and national insurance employer deductions.I have attempted it but failed due to not being taught how to do so in the book,i also contacted my tutor who said she couldnt help. if anyone has a slightest clue of how i should enter these plezzzzzzzzzzzzzz help...thankx

I'd ask for my money back if the tutor can't help.

You need to do a journal entry, although not sure on what figures you need to enter but normally should be something like:

DR CR
6300 Gross Salaries XXX
6325 Employers NIC xxx
6xxx Union Subs xxx
6xxx Hospital fund xxx
2220 Net Pay xxx
2211 PAYE/NI xxx (this will be tax, NI and Emp NI)
2xxx Union Subs xxx
2xxx Hospital fund xxx

Thank you so much,u hv no clue hw grateful i am, the tutors are really unreliable, expecially as i had to cough up £1100 and now after doing the exam they r telling me that i got to pay to sit them as well,so i`m wondering what did i pay all that money for in the first place.Plus...during the course i kept having to correct my tutor on numerous errors that she made when correcting my papers...how grand....NOT!!.....thanks ever so much..at least i can put this bad experience behind me now....

No worries.

I would request my money back and if they failed to respond, issue a claim in the small claims court if you can prove their lack of professionalism and errors in tuition.
