Is my qualification out of date
Permalink Closed

I took and passed both units of IAB Level 2 Book keeping. I haven't done anything with them or took it any further until now.

I have repurchased the level 2 (I think I must have thrown the original away) and I have actually bought the level 3 diploma because mine were older - ie Intermediate and Advanced. This seems to have been replaced by the Level 3 diploma but they no longer have Ltd companies in the syllabus.

I have only bought the Level 2 book so that I can revisit it as its been two years and I need to refresh myself before i start the level 3

Will my Level 2 certificates still be valid and do I need to do anything with them. I still get the periodical IAB magazine.

Hi Karen,

afraid that I'm with different bodies so can't answer this per se. But I would suggest that rather than getting opinions from the site on this one your best bet would be to give the IAB a quick call.

From the sound of it your membership has lapsed as well? You are probably going to have to take the hit on reregistration fee's as well as membership.

Anyway, that's a different question. Just give the IAB a call. There's a bit of a membership war going on between them and the ICB so you know that you'll be welcomed back with open arms.

Let us all know what transpires as it's a question that may very well come up again.

Talk soon,

Shaun.
