I have created a letterhead in word which I really like, I want to use it on everything but its just saved as a Word document and I need to make it a JPEG. Now I'm a complete technophobe and I don't know how to do it!!
Can anyone help me or am I trying to do the impossible?
What it is exactly you have created? Is it a logo that you want to put on everything? How have you created it? Have you used a drawing? Need more information to help.
Its just a letterhead in word, its been done by inserting 2 rectangles from the basic shapes and then filling them with colour, 4 squares in other colours then a text box.
Its quite simple looking but its just what i was after, just can't get it into the format I need to use it!!
1) highlight what you want to save in Word and copy it
2) open paint
3) paste the text or picture or whatever
4) resize the page to what you want
5) save as a jpeg
Do it all the time with Excel spreadsheets to post on this site.
simples when you know how :)
Shaun.

hold down cntl alt and print screen at the same time
go to paint
press cntl and V at the same time to paste
make sure that the dotted square box is pressed (2nd option accross on the top line of symbols.
draw a line around your shape
cntl and C at the same time to copy your shape
open a new paint document (you don't need to save the existing document if it asks you
cntl and V to past.
resize as required and save as a JPEG
I know that the above works as just tried it myself to make sure.

And in case you were wondering here's the evidence.
It started off in word and became a jpeg via paint with no loss of formatting.

if anything doesn't work just let me know and I'll talk you through it as it's a useful bit of knowledge to have.
As I say, I use it on this site for Excel spreadsheet examples.
talk later,
Shaun.

Shaun you can just copy selected cells and paste straight into the editor box, you don't get the additional white background then and its editable. EG

If the logo for the letter head has been created in word, for simplicity I would create the logo in the header section and save the whole plain document as a template. Then whenever you want to create a business letter, just go file>new and select the template.
