ICB exam booking
Permalink Closed

Hi guys
I have just attempted to book the self assessment exam on the ICB website.
I went through the correct procedures and after payment I received an email confirming my order for the level 3 diploma in computerised bookkeeping!!!!!

I immediately went back on the ICB site to find that the self assessment exam is no longer showing.

Can any of you guys see it when you log in cos this as left me totally confused.
I will be on the phone to them asap on Monday morning because I have not paid for an exam that is no good to me.

I do know that the self assessment exam was definitely showing and that I definitely chose that one.

Cheers Dotty

Hi Dotty

I've just had a look and it is visible from my login

I would definately confirm with them on Monday but from my experience of the ICB website, it is probably a generic reply that they copied and didn't alter phrasing for the appropriate exam.

Hi Bill,

Yer just jealous barnes.

I've been having serious problems with my internet connection today so been up to my eyeballs in networking stuff which is well beyond my comfort zone.

Think that I've got it back working properly again but only time will tell.

Seems that it all went wrong after an automatic update of the security software so deleted it, reinstalled it and them rejigged all of my internet details which thankfully I've got mirrored on another machine so at least I had the settings to hand.

When the technology works it's great but when it doesn't....

Hi Dotty

I've just logged in and it is there for me.  Give them a call on Monday.

Good luck with the exam

Hi there,

It's probably not there any longer as it's considered you as having booked it. I think only the exams that you are eligible to take show on the exam page.

Although having looked at my page, they have Level 1 still on there and I took and passed that a while ago now!

Sounds like they need some sorting out!

Dotty,

I have taken all the ICB exams except for Self Assessment and they all show on the 'book an examination' page. The software doesn't appear to check what exams you have taken and passed already. It is confusing though what had happened to you.

Anyway, good luck with the Self Assessment.
