Just wondered if anyone would know. A company called a friends house where he lives with his family (parents etc) this company was detailing figures and saying debt managment companies have been lieing to him. Now leaving this kind of voicemail on a landline where everyone in his house hold can retrieve it, are they in breach of confidentiality, what would he needto do to complain (other than to the firm)
try the office of fair trading(oft) or maybe consumer direct, the information commissioner's office(ico) or the debt managers standards association (demsa) they should have information on this. hope this helps
If he thinks personal information has been disclosed then the person to contact with regard to the Data Protection Act is the Information Commissioner.
