I've just realised that I don't know if we're allowed to advertise here or not, but I'm sure a mod will remove it if I have overstepped the mark.
I have just teamed up with a web designer to offer web sites to my customers, but I thought I'd offer them to you guys too.
We're doing a four page site, with a co.uk domain, 5 email addresses and a years hosting for £199. But I know we all love a bargain so I can knock £50 off for any forum user and make it £149.

If we are allowed to offer these sort of services then I will gladly offer a friend of mine services because they will be better........ is that allowed, I can reassure people that I know someone who is awesome is that allowed.
Probably best to stick to advice and not proffering peoples services in my mind..............disclaimer. People may disagree.
Actually, I'm personally ok with people placing ads on here provided that they're Senior Members or above. That way only people who are net contributors to the site would be allowed to advertise services rather than people turning up, placing an ad and never being heard from again.
Only issue is that it would be a nightmare for site admin to police.
Kris is a long standing member and always willing to help out. Don't think that he should be penalised for the odd ad and good luck to him getting a bit of business from this.

As I said, I'm not sure the lay of the land on this issue as the only thing we've seen here since I started back in 2008 has been spamming members who signup spam a few times and leave. Don't think I've seen an ad from a member of long standing.
I am also aware that this forum is very much self policing and if the consensus is that this shouldn't happen, I will agree and abide by that.

Meh ignore me, sorry Kris, ................... your link doesn't seem to work. I just believe this site is one of the few sites left thats for advice which is why I jump on people that offer services. Not really my place.
