Search for a business partner
Permalink Closed

Hi Members,

I have worked for accountants for around 5 years now and have started my own accountancy practice.

I am in the process of setting up a small office and was wondering whether there are any other individuals out there with similar experiences who would consider getting a shop front to carry out their business from there.

I have the capital and clients to do this but I may consider a business partner so that I dont have to work flat out on my own.

Just out of interest what is your company name. Cannot find Waseem A&G Accountants Limited or similar on a company search. Might just be missing it or is it abbreviated?

Hi Adi,

I did exactly the same. Must be something in the Avatar!

A&G have been around since 2007 but Waseem states that he has only just set up so if you were at all interested I don't think that there is any point looking at A&G's accounts as I believe that they are Waseem's employer. It might however be a good idea to go to them for a reference if you are serious about the venture.

Don't go directly to them though if you're not interested as they might not know that Waseem is leaving them yet!

Personally I fall into the anything less than 100% of the business is giving someone else my profits camp but partnerships do work for some.

Just always check out absolutely everything financial and personal about the person that you are going into business with before you sign anything or part with any money beyond solicitors fee's, insolvency searches, etc.

Waseem, the above is intended to temper caution in any business investment amongst our readers. Please don't take any of this as detrimental against yourself as such is not intended... Although, when asking to go into partnership with people a pirate flag isn't perhaps the best Avatar to choose!!!

Kind regards,

Shaun.
