i have completed the AAT qualification, and i am looking at the IAB qualification, reason being, i want to go self employed (if possible) is there any need for me to do the IAB qualification, having already done the AAT, will the IAB teach me anything new?
The IAB offer exemptions for AAT. In an email I received a couple of weeks ago from IAB, they told me that depending on my level of AAT qualification, I could join either as an associate member or as a full member.
I think if you have AAT level 4 you could join IAB straight away as a full member, anything less and you will be required to join as an associate and complete some of their exams to gain full membership (unless you complete more of the AAT).
But why bother? With AAT, you can apply as a member in practice which covers you against HMRC money regs.
