Hi Guys I wonder if you could help me with this question. An accounting technician made the following attempt at preparing a bank rec, statement
Overdraft per bank statement £25,600 Add deposits not credited £39,200 £64,800 Less unpresented cheques £5,300 Overdraft per cash book £59,500
Assuming that the bank statement balance of £25,600 overdrawn is correct what should the closing balance per the cash book be?
This is a multiple choice question the answers given £59,500 overdrawn as stated £8,300 cash at bank £18,900 overdrawn £59,500 cash at bank I would say it is £8,300 cash at bank am I on the right wavelength, would be glad if somebody could help please. Thanks
