Sage 50 Accounts forcasting

Hi there

I need to be able to use some form of decent forcasting tool so i can plan the future financials for our business. At the moment i have created an excel spreadsheet with actuals and forcast.

What I woulds like is to be able to do this in one central location IE Sage 50 accounts and export a report to give me the data i need. In this way i do not have to reinput data(less human error).

Is there a clever way of doing this within Sage 50 Accounts or do i need something like Sage 50 Forcasting?

Any help would be appreciated:)

Paul

Hi,

I don't think that Sage on it's own does any decent forecasting having said that I didn't get on very well with the actual Sage 50 Forecasting either and I really like Sage. I actually do my forecasting in Excel and it works quite well for me.

Sorry if this isn't want you wanted to hear but I would say Excel is still your best bet.

Thanks
Ann-marie

Excel is good for this and if you have it set up right it will work ok.

However, depending on which version of sage you have, I use sage 50 accounts 2010 v16, it does have quite a handing budgeting option which can allow some form of forecasting if you put the time into it. It also has some handy reports giving a monthly and cumulative picture of how the business is actually doing compared to the budgeted figures.

this might help to some extent.
