Another question from me....sorry it's all I seem to be doing at the moment....

I'm sure I've seen from some of the websites of people on here that they offer company secretarial services, deal with company formations etc. I've not got any experience in any of that but I have had a couple of enquiries from people who were wanting that so I was wondering what it all involves, if it is something that works well alongside bookkeeping services and how to go about learning how to do it all?

Can anyone tell me a bit about it all please? Thanks!

Hi Ruth,

I use a company formations firm to do all the donkey work, they charge me about £65 and I then write up the shares and send off the CT41G etc. i tend to charge about £125 in all to the client. They can do it themselves for about £30 but it is a hassle.

Ruth, I think I was supposed to send you details of telephone answering, toytally forgot...do you still want the info?

Rob

Hi Ruth

This is something that works well alongside bookkeeping services as if you get a client for a company formation, they will probably need to outsource their bookkeeping too so it is another source of clients for you.

You can either buy off the shelf companies where a company is already set up and you need to change the shareholding, regsitered office etc or you can set up a bespoke company.

This is something we can do. We don't use off the shelf companies but set it up from scratch so that the shareholding, registered address and directors are all set up bespoke for the company. We then produce the:

- Certificate of Incorporation
- Memorandum of Association
- Articles of Association
- Share Certificates
- Minutes of First Board Meeting

We charge £75 + VAT or £60 + VAT for members.

We can also offer company secretarial services.

Kind regards

Zöe

Hi, I have an online option of Company Formations on my website - www.completebookkeeping.co.uk
Costs start from £ 24.99 however if you are doing on behalf of customer I do recommend 2nd option as they receive a bound copy to keep. The cost you charge for completing on their behalf I would allow around 2 hours work. You will need personal questions ready to save time as no signature is required.

Can be set up in approx 4 hours.
