Yes back to work only to finish off a VAT return, then the rest can wait for a few days. Thanks for the answer, I thought it was but then doubted myself!
Hope you had a good Christmas, are you back to work as well?
Mostly zero rated rather than exempt but look at the exemptions in sections 2 and 8.
I know that the article is written from the perspective of the airline operator but it gives the scenario's where VAT has to be charged at standard rate.
Like you I'm also knee deep in VAT return although from the sound of it you drew the short straw out of the two of us!
Sure yours is just a zero rated case but always interesting to know the options.
Talk later,
Shaun.

One last question then should it be T0 or T2 on Sage?? I know Sage isn't your hotpoint but wondered if you knew which one to put it to? I thought it should have been T2 but now I'm not sure?
Just trying to get it finished, not normally this late in doing it but I've had the dreaded flu, it really knocks you out, feeling human again today!
Good to see you back on the forum again Shaun. Has you job in Scotland finished now?
your right, Sage isn't my favorite but my understanding is that tube, rail and plane fares are all T0.
Glad to hear that your recovered from the Flu now. Seems to be a particularly nasty variant doing the rounds this year.
Scotland's all finished with for the time being but I may be popping back in April so you should be stuck with my words of wit and wisdom for a couple of months at least.
Talk in a bit,
Shaun.

Just did a search to make sure that I wasn't lying to you and found this really useful thread over on accounting web (makes you sick how clever some of the bods are over there!).
At least it seems that they concur with my previous response anyway.
Actually, I was so impressed with this one that I actually bookmarked it.
Enjoy.
