Printing P45 on Sage 50 payroll

Hiya,

I've just printed a P45 onto the pre-printed HMRC P45 forms.  The printed text on the first 2 pages is not printing correctly into the boxes and I can't find where to change it!

No probs if nobody knows, just that there was a 25 minute wait for Sage! no

Thanks.

Check that you're using the correct HMRC P45 stationery. There are several designs. The most common one for PC software (unless you're filing online) is the 4 part laser portrait.

Sage may have a mode which allows you to file the Part 1 of the P45 online, in which case it may also allow you to print a P45(Online), a P45 document for the employee that doesn't require stationery. (sorry I can't be more specific about how Sage does that, but it feels like a feature that I'd expect it to have)

Thanks Tom. I am using the 4 part laser and the 3rd and 4th sheets print fine! Never mind - not the end of the world but quite annoying!

Just be aware that you should only print the Online versions if you have, indeed, filed part 1 Online.
