Help with a transaction list/report in Sage 50
Permalink Closed

I want to generate a report of transactions which have been input (by the bookkeeper) after a particular calendar date.
Is this possible?

I need to make a list of transactions that have been input after 1st October, and to identify which of those entries actually refer to transactions which took place before that date.

(It's a VAT report problem for the December quarter, where the previous quarter's entries haven't been reconciled).

If this can be done, I'd be grateful if someone could show me how.

Hi Andrew,

I think you can do a transaction report in Nominal Ledger by a date period.

NB previous quarter's VAT not being reconciled is a real PITA. You could try doing a 6 month VAT return and taking off the previous quarter's figures?

I love your logic!! That's a neat idea.

What I've figured so far is, in Company|Financials, is find the transaction number of something I know happened on 1 Sep. Suppose that's 500

Run a search for
Transaction numbers >500
Date =< 1 July => 30 Sep

That looks fine. The balance secnario I mentioned is all well and good, but it's always helpful to reconcile that against actual transactions.

Yes indeed.
Accuracy has come at a price, though: there are 338 transactions on the new list!
But it will be good for the client's pocket - and just as well if ever his VAT is audited.

Cheers smile
