Hi Sue,

Opened in Firefox without issue.

Internet Explorer 64 bit ok

Internet Exlorer normal version ok.

If all other sites are ok then it's unlikely to be an issue with running out of memory on the video card.

Try downloading the latest version of your browser.

If your still using Internet Explorer it might be worth downloading firefox. Here is the link to the legitimate site :

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

It says EN-US but it's actually the British version.

Personally I know of knowone who has gone to Firefox and ever gone back to Explorer.

nice site.

I think that I definitely come in the category of "Know it all" client for my Accountant! (lol).

Another one to add to your list is butterfly client who flits from one accountant to another in search of the perceieved best deal (i.e. cheapest!).

For these one's. if they are already clients then I suggest just letting them go rather than lowering your rates in order to try and beat a competitor who is likely to be low balling to gain local market share.

If they come to you looking for lower rates then don't lower your normal charges just to gain them as they will be off as soon as they can find someone who will work for less than you.

Personally I believe that finding a good accountant is like finding a good Dentist! once you have one you just pray that you retire before they do!!!

so far touch wood, I have only really had the paper bag client and other clients have been really good and organised. It has been one "plastic" bag client in particular lol. I do have to keep asking for additional stuff as I'm doing the accounts but then I have priced for the extra time involved. I hope I won't get the bad payer, but will be using my Credit Control skills I have learned from my full-time job as an Accounts Manager running every aspect of the accounts dept at work.
I haven't had the know it all yet either, I think that would thoroughly annoy me, but not as much as the bad payer. For me I would find (1 being worst) - 1) bad payer 2) know it all and 3) paper bag the most annoying.

Hi Phil - tried it on a different computer and it works OK. The problem seemed to be your previous blogs were overlapping the current one.

Good article, had a range of them, luckily no one that is all 3 combined!

Re the bad payers, most frustrating are the ones who want to pay by standing order, start paying with the best of intentions, but then have a bit a of a cash flow crisis, and (without telling you) decide to cancel your s/o! You find that trust goes a long way, but it's also good to have a bit of leverage!

I have a mix of all 3 clients and it can be tricky but generally all clients can be trained. I have turned clients away or over quoted them out of it if I don't feel they are a good fit!

I have tried it on all browsers, including my htc phone and the site seems to be ok.

God - I'm technical!! worked with Firefox. I have 2 of the three - plastic bag and bad payer although the bad payer has now been kicked into touch - so annoying.

I've been converted to Google Chrome now. I added that much rubbish to both IE and Firefox that it takes forever for either of them to load. I suppose I could remove some toolbars - I notice just how much space is wasted by them when I have to use them. I have a football website that I update using an add-on to Firefox but I think I'll just dump that website when I next have to pay for it's annual renewal fee.

One thing I noticed about Firefox was when copying a table from it and then pasting it into Excel I had to use an add-on (IE Tab) as it would all just copy into the one cell. Don't have that problem with Google Chrome.

Seems this thread has gone a bit off topic.

Definitely gone off topic but I agree Chrome is nwo my browser of choice. It just doesn't have all the clunky 'features' of IE or Firefox.

Chrome convert since getting a HTC running Android for the Google integration.

Back to the thread. I have one "dreadful payer" and plenty of plastic baggers, the chip shops subbied to me by an Accountant friend are the worst, which is why he probably subbies them.
