Claiming deduction

from my previous post on uniform cleaning allowance I have visited website(Thanks for link) but how does someone employed claim this deduction? Is it up to the Employee to contact the revenue and ask them to deduct in some way or is it up to the Employer to inform the payroll provider/

Hi Tony

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think the employee needs to claim using a form P87 from HMRC (surprisingly wink.gif
