Just wondering if there is VAT on Companies House filing fees? I'm thinking there isn't. Also would I code the payment on sage to 6900 Misc expenses, 7601 Audit/Accounts fees or 7603 Professional fees?
on the first part of your question, like banking fee's there is no VAT on companies house filing fee's.
Accountants fee's do attract VAT so 7601 seems the wrong choice.
Debate on here has argued in favour of both misc expenses and 76xx codes. To my mind this is either 6900 or warrants it's own code in the 76xx series.
Better though you wait for an answe from someone who uses Sage a lot more than myself.
kind regards,
Shaun.

Didn't click but had seen that they are reducing their filing fees! This is good news.

Given that they are reducing the filing fee online from £15 to £14 but increasing the paper fee from £30 to £40, there must be quite a few companies that still file their annual returns on paper.
