I am returning to work after approx 7 years out due to having children and I thought I had better get to know Sage again. Have sage advanced in the 7-10 years since I have used it i.e can it still do varience reporting/budgets. Is anyone able to give me a good honest answer as to what Sage is capable of these days etc.
Hi, welcome back, 7 years is a long rest, hope you made the most of it. Sage has changed a lot in those years, lots of reports still and yes including the variance & budgets. there are also a lot more drillable functions for ease to find further details. You can now produce variance batch reports. The bank reconcile has changed considerabley - for the best I feel, and it has quite a good bank reconciliation statement. The excel integration is a good feature and can produce a monthly pnl sheet.
