My first job as a bookkeeper
Permalink Closed

Hi everyone

I've just finished my first week working as a bookkeeper, which means the last 2 years of juggling courses with my normal job have now payed off.
Although its using Kerridge and not sage it is all falling into place biggrin I didn't think anyone would take on someone who only has qualifications and no experience but I was wrong

smile

Well done lisa making it through your first week.

Suppose everyone at some point had no work experience as everyone has to start somewhere

Thank you for all your messages of congratulations, I just hope I can encourage others who are wondering how they can convert there knowledge into paid work, especially in such hard times...so many people told me I was wasteing my time and that nobody would employ me but I have proven them wrong..

Hi Lisa,

Congratulations Lisa, I too have just finished my 4th week in a new job as a bookkepper, never thought anyone would employ me either, I don't have any formal qualifications as a bookkeeper, but went to uni to study accountancy and did a sage course a few years ago, I didn't finish the three years because of illness, and now I have a job and I'm loving it. I'm 51, so there's hope for us all!!!
