Hi All,

THis is probably a really daft question but I just want to make sure I get this right as it is my first P35-

In respect of box 25 (NIC's/Tax already paid) is the amount I enter here the actual total amount paid to HMRC during the tax year or only the amount paid which relates to the NIC/Tax payable for that year?  - For example I have an amount that was paid to HMRC on 16/04/2010 but this payment relates to tax owed in the previous tax year - so would this be included in box 25 on the p35 for tax year 2010-2011? -  to my mind if it is included it would show on the P35 as an overpayment of tax/NIC for the year.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

No, it's just what relates to the 2010-11 tax year.

To be honest, it's academic anyway as they will send you a statement if you've under or overpaid.

No. It doesn't go on this year's P35.

That reminds me - I've a couple of P35's to do.
