I'm desperately trying to sort out a year's worth of payroll for a small company ready for the tax year end.
They kept next to no records for the year and i have had to back track from the Net Pay to find out what PAYE & NIC's should have been paid. The firm has paid about 6 people in total during the year most on BR tax as its their second job and the main employee was on SSP for about 5 months.
As most employees were not paid a great deal there is hardly any employee's or employers NIC to be paid (quite a few months were NIL) and as they can then also recover nearly all their SSP it turns out that HMRC will actually owe them money at the year end.
Does this all sound ok? i'm really really worried in case its incorrect.
