Hi all,

Has anyone done this course and if so what did you think? The course covers :

Level I Basic Bookkeeping Certificate

Level II Manual Bookkeeping Certificate

Level III Manual Bookkeeping Diploma

 Level II&III Sage Computerised Bookkeeping

Level III Payroll Management Diploma

Level III Self Assessment Diploma

Small Business Financial Control Diploma

The course is a little more expensive than most others but has the self assesment and financial control diplomas. Is it worth paying the extra for these?

Hi Keri

I did the full course (except the financial controls, which wasn't available then)

I found it really good and value for money, compared to others.

The only danger is that you buy the full course and part way through, you realise bookkeeping's not for you. You need to be sure it's the career you want to pursue.

Bill

Hi Keri,

I couldn't agree more with Bill. You need to be 100% sure you wish to cover all aspects. If you'd like to discuss the various options available please don't hesitate to contact Ideal on 0141 248 5200.

Also, I don't know if you are aware that their are 15% discounts on these course options during May.

Kind regards

Brian

Thank you both for your replies, and yes the 'is it really what I want to do' has crossed my mind. I have done book keeping and payroll in my last job which I did enjoy but to an extent also hated some days. I think this was mainly because I pretty much had a business thrown at me to run so payroll and sage was all self taught as I went along. Never a good idea as im sure you both know.
Didn't know about the discount during May. Thank you for that Brian.
