Thought I'd say 'Hi'

Hi all,

I joined the forum a few days ago and thought I should introduce myself properly.

I set up my bookkeeping business in November last year when I had to stop juggling 2 children and a full time job as an accounts assistant.  I had started studying AAT Level 2 to go with my 10 years + experience and was literally going to leave to be a bar maid in the evening and a full time mum during the day with studying in between.

My boss asked me if I'd thought about going freelance - I hadn't. He suggested that I did and that the smaller company they own could be my first client. So that's how I started.

I now have 9 clients of different shapes and sizes and am coming across scenarios that I'd never seen before. CIS payments being one of them.

I passed my Level 2 in March and am studying for Level 3 now, although am struggling to find the time to complete it.

Thank you very much to all who have taken the time not only to read about me, but also to those who answered the question for which I joined in the first place.

Many Thanks

Kirsty
