Quickbooks Support

Hi there, I have just purchased quickbooks and signed up to the support for a year, but I have 30 day free trial and can cancel within the next few weeks, does anyone have any experience of the support (I know it is based in India) and if so is it worth it?  Thanks

HI Julie,
In a nutshell no the support is rubbish. I worked for a company once that had the support and to be honest the support was rubbish, like you say they are in india, and are just a call centre, they are not bookkeepers or accountants and don't always understand the english way of doing bookkeeping. However if you are going to have payroll the payroll support I found to be OK. The problem I had with it all they were taught the normal everyday scenarios but once it was something more complicated they just couldn't give you an answer that seemed to work. This is just my opinion of couse and there maybe others on here that don't have a problem.

To be honest you will get more help on here, have you used Sage in the past because if you have you won't have a problwm with QB.
I am a fan of QB and I believe theres another guy on here who swears by QB so I think any help you need post on here and see who comes back with the answer.

HTH

Thanks Amanda, yes I have used sage for 10 years so I have managed to get to grips with it quite quickly, and as you say the support on here is great.

Hi Julie,

The client of mine that uses Quickbooks has the support, including payroll. I've used it a few times, sometimes it's been quite good and sometimes it's been rubbish...lol As Amanda says, it depends on what the query is. Because they are in India it is also a bit difficult to understand them at times, which doesn't help. Mind you I have similar trouble when I ring HMRC...lol

Maybe a good idea during your 30 day trial to make up a few scenarios and phone them to see how they cope (Just a suggestion).
