Hi Guys

My website was completed just about 18 months ago and whilst I know how to change the text on it, if I want to make any other changes I need to go back to the designer which obviously costs. So I am looking at getting some training in Joomla, does anyone here know of any good and not too expensive firms/individuals that provide training or whether there are any good resources from which I could try to teach myself.

Thanks for your help

Regards

Mark

Joomla is great with many valuable features, but the learning curve is steep. In addition it has too many features for if you want to set up a modest website to promote your accountancy practice. Basicly, you would never use the vast majority of the features.

My advice is to go with Wordpress. (Wordpress.org) With a little effort you can get it up and running reasonably quickly (some hosting firms even have 1 click installation). You can update the text yourself and there are free and paid for templates available.

There is lots of installation information and advice online and there is a good Wordpress support community, similar to Joomla's.So you won't have to pay anything for training.

What software was used to build your existing website? There may be issues if you want to move your site to Wordpress or Joomla and you want to retain your current ranking for your websites keywords.
