Amending payroll Figures for last year
Permalink Closed

Firstly big hello to everyone here!

I was wondering if anyone could help us out.  We need to change our payroll figures for the previous year 2010-2011 however we have already closed the year in sage.

Any ideas of the best way to do this.  I am thinking there should be a journal but will this show correctly? As a last resort we were thinking about going back to the back up before the closure of the year end as we havent done to much on the new year.

Any advice would be very appreciated.  The figures are to increase the pay amount for the director for each month through the previous year, there will be no amendments to any other staff. We use Sage 50.

Thanks in advance and look forward to hearing from any payroll experts.

Julie

If you did change the payroll figures you would need to send an amended P35 to HMRC. A journal will not show in the payroll only in your accounts package so I think I would restore your backup before closure of your payroll year end.
