Different Versions of Sage
Permalink Closed

I have sage V15 on my laptop to do one client's accounts.  I have just started work for a new client and they have bought V17 and installed it on their computer and want me to have it on my laptop so I can work from home.  I fear that if I install V17 it will overight V15 and I will not be able to work on the original client in V15 (they also have it on their main computer)

Is there any way of installing both versions on my laptop?

You could use the custom install and put it in a different location, ie change the pathname.

Yes, as Sheila says...
You need to create a separate folder (call it Sage17 or something different from your original installation folder) to avoid over-writes.
Obviously, this will take up more space on your computer.

You just need to be very careful never to restore a V17 backup into your Sage15 program by accident (or vice versa).
