I have been looking at BPP and Kaplan as companies to study with for this module but am stunned by their prices. Does anyone have experience of any other establishments that they could recommend please?
Many thanks
Sarah

For a fraction of the price of a course you can buy the study materials of both BPP and Kaplan.
I've just found out that BPP don't do the I-Learn CD's anymore which was basically a £40 course that you ran on your computer. Don't try to buy a second hand one of those as they have really draconian security on them. One of the reasons that I still have some of my old machines is because once the course is on then that's the only place it can ever be.
They have started something called e-learning which may be the replacement for the CD's. Have a look at the e-learning catalogie from this link (which also has their traditional catalogue.
Personaly I don't like the BPP study books anymore since they went all emphasis fonts and funky page layouts so I would only actually advise using Kaplan study materials.
The Kaplan Study text is excellent. Have a look here at the look inside version : http://www.amazon.co.uk/ACCA-F9-Financial-Management-Fm/dp/0857321404/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1314442496&sr=8-1
buying it gives you access to Kaplan Engage which means you have an electrnic version of the book, online resources and additional material.
Also, even though you can download the old papers it is better to grab current versions of both the Kaplan and BPP exam prep kits to work through as the questions and answers have been updated to reflectt changes in standards, etc.
Just to make your search quicker here are the latest versions of those :
I would avoid the GTG (get Through Guides) as I'm not at all impressed with them at all.
Good luck in your studies,
kind regards,
Shaun.

Many thanks Shaun for all the info and for the really useful links. I'll have a look at them over the weekend.
Have you any experience of LSBF at all?
I need some kind of structured timetable to study otherwise I find my work takes over and I lose the time. I tried to do F1 by distance learning but ended up going to classroom based tuition with BPP, but their prices seem to have gone up drastically since then. Apparently they now have to charge VAT on the study material so prices have escalated!
