New to Quickbooks seeking practical tips

Hi 

I've to start at a new client (freelance professional) on Quickbooks set up and a quarter's posting on Monday. Qualifed with Sage Instant, I'm new to Quickbooks so I've purchased Quickbooks Pro software and the Official Guide from Amazon . I'm studying for the last few days but it would be a great help if the Quickbooks expert on the forum can give me practical tips to facilitate my prepartion.
