How can I print out previous financial years P/L account?
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

Will sage only allow to print out current financial year P/L acccount, how about if I want to print out previous year's P/L account from sage? Plus I dont think I remember to have changed financial year from last year to current year on sage, will it change automatically?

Hi Cindy

You can only print out the P&L for the current year you are in on SAGE.  If you want to print out a previous year you need to restore on the back up for the previous year to access the P&L.

To change the financial year end you need to do this through the period end module and balance forward to the new accounting year.  SAGE doesnt automatically do it.

It is one of the biggest downsides of Sage; however, you should have a set of accounts from the previous year?

At year end Roll Forward on Sage I would always advise to take PDF's of all the relevant reports such as TB, P&L, BS etc. so that you have the information to hand if required.
