Paid HMRC too much
Permalink Closed

Hi there

I have made a little mistake and paid the HMRC 20p too much in July for PAYE. As I am doing the books within Sage 50 Accounts I am a little stuck on what to do.

Do I just adjust the books for August taking into account the 20p ie. I substract the 20p off of the PAYE in August?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

Post the amount paid as normal to your PAYE/NI account and then in August underpay by 20p and post that payment to your PAYE/NI account.
