I passed this exam yesterday morning, feel good about this one as it is known to be the trickiest one to pass at level 3. I must say though that 9:30 am is not the best of times to sit an exam, i had to get up at 4ish to make sure my body had the required amount of caffeine. Anybody waiting to sit this one, make sure you have studied untill you know the workings back to front and upside down. My exam took me through the comings and goings of a Bus company and i thought hey-ho i've read some of these questions on another forum (Accountancy Students) but not one question i've seen set out was in my exam. Also i'd say 80% percent of the exam is nothing like any of the practice and revision questions or mock exams available through the AAT website or the Kaplan study material. Good luck to anybody taking this test.
Great Neil, thanks. I keep getting new client's without trying, including a well known real ale pub to which I'll be venturing. They're all male, otherwise I'd put it down to my good looks.
Give me a shout if you want to look at some self assessment stuff and you can show me a bit of Sage if you like.
yeah i've not forgot about you Tim, just been extremely busy with studies, exams and rejection letters lol. Trying to bang this level 3 out before xmas then i'm gonna have a break til' next September, think i'm gonna go back to Hopwood college for level 4. In the meantime i'm gonna look at that Excel for business modelling book that Shaun recommends.
Congratulations and well done. I failed this one first time but passed my resit. It was great getting that one out of the way I have never been so stressed in my life and had no sleep leading up to the exams both times!
Thank you Kay, and well done to yourself. Twas and sleepless couple of days, it takes me about 3 days after an exam to finally wind down. What did you think of the exam compared to the study materials available?
I'm actually about to book this exam! I have found this module REALLY difficult and am currently on my second work through of the course work just to make sure that everything makes sense and stays in my head! Now I've read your post I think I'm going to give myself another week or so to revise before I book the exam as I don't want to have to resit. So far I've passed all my other Level 3 exams and found them quite easy but this one seems to be a different kettle of fish. You said you read some of the questions on that forum - is that questions that were in the exam? If so I might just have a look myself...
Those questions were mis-leading Samantha, if you have passed the other exams and found them easy then you will breeze through this one. Good luck in your exam. The exams are generated from random questions within a question bank so you won't know what you get till you get it! stick to the revision and your on a winner.
Thanks for the vote of confidence - I think most people are a little unsure when doing homestudy as you don't have a tutor to tell you how you are doing! I will keep revising and hope for the best! Well done on your pass by the way
