Well, that time is fast approaching again.  Have any of you thought about christmas cards yet?

Who do you send cards to?  Your current clients?  Previous clients?  Other business contacts, like bank managers etc?  Or are you just a scrooge and don't send them to anyone?

What are your plans for this year?  Will you write them yourself, or get them printed?

My intention is to buy card from my local hospice (they do really nice cards) and to go back to hand writing them as I find the printed cards really sterile and unfriendly.  When I say write them, what I really mean is get someone else to write them, but hand written anyway.

Kris

Oh bah humbug...

you just had to bring all that expenditure to the forefront of my thinking!!! Oh dear, doesn't it creep up quickly... And what does Christmas mean? Start of self assessment crazy season.

Don't forget to send Christmas cards to other accountants, even the one's that you've had absolutely no dealings with.... And the one's that you've had technical debates with (Christmas being a time of good will to all men so excellent time for olive branches).

Anything that gets your name out there is good business. So clients old, new and potential all get on my mailing list.

On the printing front I have them printed with everything that I want to write but sign them all personally.

The intention eventually is to get the larger humerous accounting ones.

Astra Imprints do good accounting one's and it's in support of Cancer Research UK. However, the personalisation pricing for a hundred or so of those is still a little out of my budget range at the moment.

Talk later,

Shaun.

What do you mean Christmas? There was a Christmas celebration last year. Surely they are not having another one so soon. Aren't the every four years like the Olympics and World Cup.

Like your way of thinking Peasie!!! It would be a lot cheaper if it was only every 4 years, don't think the children would like it though!

I send a few of my clients christmas cards but not all of them, only the ones that I know really well and have a really good relationship with. Never really thought of the accountants perhaps thats something I shall do this year.

cheers
