Need help on Sage Instant V15
Permalink Closed

Hi,

I need help on a file, I am using Sage V15.

A book-keeper has done the books for a client but has no idea what she has done.

I want to view the opening journal or opening balances for the accounts to 30/04/2011.

Also, I want to print out a Trial Balance for 12 month but is producing 24 months instead.

This is the first time I am using Sage.

Thanks.

I'm a beginner on Sage also and I may have misunderstood what you are asking - could you not set the period for the Trial Balance to "brought forward" ?

Hi,

To see the opening balances I would print off a detailed Audit Trial for the requested period.

The Trial Balance report I agree with Peasie, print off a "brought forward" report.

In the bit it asks for the date (Criteria Values) it lists the different months - at the top (may even be hidden and you have to use the down arrow to go up) there is the "brought forward" option.

Go in Company window - Financials - Audit - your audit trail report window comes up.
I usually select detailed than click run. Criteria values window comes up where you can put in the transaction dates required.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

I can get to the screen where you can sellect prior P&L but I cant manage to open the p&L for period 01/05/2010 to 30/04/2011
only lets me choose 2012 and 2013.

Basically to make it simple.

I need to know the movements from 01/05/2010 to 30/04/2011.

Is this possible?

You should be able to see all the entries if you generate an audit report.

on the P & L reports if oyu have closed off the previous year then it will only let you see the current yr you are on.

Try the Aufi report like Sweetpea says.
