Self employed client, he had to get a new log in and password to access his self assessment online services. I am wondering if there is a way to look at previous returns online as this is a new client who doesn't know what was filed last time. Nightmare!.
Just want to see the last return that was filed really so I can carry on from there, all help appreciated, or any suggestions of how to get around this issue!.
I'd imagine you could just as easily request a hard copy as if he had filed it on paper, Lorraine, once your authorisation is in place. It's always reassuring to see what went on last time. best wishes Tim
Think that you can only view previous returns online, if they were filed online. I have several clients that had previous returns filed as hard copies, and all you can see are some basic info about the client.
If they are file online, you can go to the client page and there is an option to work with previous returns, and download/ view / print off the actual returns

That link only lasts for so long though unfortunately. You need to phone the contact centre and ask them to send you out a copy. They seem to be pretty organised at the moment and it only takes about a week.
