Sad news about Steve Jobs passing, though not totally unexpected.

Will Apple be able to weather the storm of his loss, or will they stray off course again?

Never bought an Apple product until I bought an Iphone last year. Never really got the obsession some people had with Apple products - having said that, the next time I get a new phone it will likely be another Iphone.

Same here, never owned anything Apple but i do admire the creativity and vision. It's going to be a sad day for the techno world.

Sad indeed, it'll be interesting to see what happens to Apple.

Think it'll be OK in the short term but maybe a couple of years on things could be different. Depends on whether or not any of the senior staff have been indoctrinated by him and share his foresight. I use both Macs and PCs as well as an IPhone - love the phone but the Mac sometimes annoys me with the way it saves.

I agree, after 2 years all the pipeline products will have been made. Thats the real test. If you remember when he came back to apple around 97 the company was almost on it's knees.

I foresee Google taking a lot of market share.
