Hello, I've got a question generally connceted to rinnung a hotel and food business. Generally speaking, when the hotel buys basic food ingredients they do not pay Vat as food is exclusive of vat right? Ehat about the hotel sales of food ina form of a particular dish. If we buy fish it's T0 but when we sell it as a dish it is with Vat or without it? In other words, do we have to include Vat on our sales of food or state on the tills and system that it is 0 rated? Thanks for any help.
A friend of mine has a similar situation. She runs a catering company and buys all (well most) of her stock without VAT. By then preparing the constituent parts into a meal she has then "Added Value" and has to apply VAT to her invoices.
pDm :)
